Reading has been a life long hobby of mine. While I like fiction and non-fiction about equally, or perhaps slightly prefer fiction, I tend to read more non-fiction. It's usually easier to put down non-fiction, which means that you can work it into life more easily. Not like when I read all 900 pages of The Dragonlance Legends in a day and a half.

Most of the novels which I read are Fantasy and Science Fiction, though I don't read them exclusively. Indeed, my favorite novel is Pride and Prejudice, by Jane Austen. I'm also fond of detective fiction. I've read most of the Sherlock Holmes, Father Brown, Brother Cadfael, and Lord Peter Wimsey stories.

My taste in non-fiction is fairly varied. I do like reading philosophy, theology, especially by G.K. Chesterton and C.S. Lewis. I also like reading business books (I talk about some of these in the professional section). Mostly, however, I read non-fiction books based on recomendations.
